Job Description

Academic Qualification - Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering Work Experience - Minimum of 3 years experience for Engineer position in engineering / Technology providers involving in LV MCC design / detail design engineering for process applications. Knowledge/Exposure Primary functions: 1. Main responsibilities to support Project team in executing the Projects with most cost effective and timely manner – following are the responsibilities that will be fulfilled. i. Co-ordinating with various disciplines with clear communication – PM/Procurement/Process/Automation/Group offices to get the activities done in time while executing the projects. ii. Preparation of detailed specifications for techno commercial offer for Instrumentation, Electrical Equipments, MCC, PLC Panels, and other accessories. Assisting the Procurement team in closing the Purchases for their respective Projects in time. Sometimes based on need involve in techno commercial negotiations with Procurement team. iii. Once the Purchasing is done – approval of vendor drawing in time for effective execution of the Project activities. iv. Prepare basic design for MCC/OCC and RIO Panels – and float enquiry and get techno commercial offer for assisting the Procurement of MCC/OCC + PLC PANELS. v. Drawing approval – MCC / OCC / RI-O station drawing approval & co-ordination with the panel vendors. vi. Internally liaise with Automation & Electrical team in preparation of I/O list, Cable list & schedule in line with the Project requirement in time – to assist in time purchasing and in time delivery of PLC and other automation components for the Project. vii. Supporting the PM’s by always keeping an eye on Cost and schedule performance of the respective Projects. viii. Follow up with the Logistic team/Vendors for any service-related issues to expedite the deliveries. ix. Inspection of MCC/OCC & RIO Panels – along with DEC Automation Engineers 2. Supporting Budgeting/Estimation of Electrical and Instrumentation part for DIN Projects/Sales team 3. Preparation of Engineering documents details (for selected projects only) like i. Electrical Load list. ii. Preparation of I-O list, Basic PLC architecture iii. MCC panel SLD / Schematic drawings. iv. Cable schedules and BOM. v. Cable tray routing and BOM. vi. Instrument location drawings. vii. Pneumatic diagrams & BOM. viii. Instrument hook up diagrams. ix. JB Schedule & Its Location Drawing x. Loop Drawing and Calculation xi. Interlock Diagram xii. Earthing design calculations xiii. Technical assistance in Procurements of Cables, Cable glands, Cable trays and Pneumatics fittings based on above engineering documents. Additional experience/exposure desirable - Knowledge of various safety standards/certifications in electrical field. - Knowledge on IEC/EN standards. - Knowledge on ATEX, CE/UL markings etc. - Basic Knowledge on PLC. - Hands on experience in AutoCAD. General Skills/Requirements - Good command over English. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Should be able to work in a team, to achieve the organisation goals and objectives. - Willing to travel to project sites whenever required.
