Site Overview: Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only Indias defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem. Roles and Responsibilities: Individuals located at manufacturing sites and fixed facilities (e.g., a service shop or O&M site) that provide day-to-day EHS support for that facility. Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy. EHS Management System: ISO45001,ISO14001 implementation Regulatory Compliance- Monitor and Adherence of EHS Regulatory compliance for the site Risk Assessment and Mitigation program implementation for the site Incident Investigation and Reporting- Lead investigation and reporting of the incidents on site as per OSHA and regulatory requirements Safety Training and awareness- Develop and implement the EHS training program to promote the culture of safety and compliance Emergency Preparedness- Ensure implementation and update the ERP Environment Management- Ensure the waste, pollution control and sustainability initiative for the site Documentation and Audit- Maintain the EHS documentation as per the OSHA, Indian EHS Regulations and Company EHS standards EHS Framework- Ensure implementation of the EHS Framework of the company Stakeholder Collaboration- Work with internal teams, govt agencies, external auditors to enhance EHS performance. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Uses prior experience and on-the job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions. A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members Ideal Candidate: Passionate EHS Professional with experience of implementing EHS Management, ensuring regulatory compliance, experience of working in MNC and Certification of Lead Auditor in 45001 and 14001 is preferred Required Qualifications and Characteristics: This role requires advanced experience in the Environmental, Health & Safety Engineering(Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical) from reputed institute, with Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety Minimum 7 to 12 years of Experience in EHS in a manufacturing plants Certification Preferred- NOBOSH IGC Closing : Whether we are manufacturing components for our engines, driving innovation in fuel and noise reduction, or unlocking new opportunities to grow and deliver more productivity, our GE Aerospace teams are dedicated and making a global impact.
