Job Description

Job Purpose: To lead and strengthen the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems across all company's facilities. This includes chemical plant operations, port/jetty operations for ship unloading, hazardous chemical warehousing, logistics areas, institutional areas and any new sites developed by the organization. The role ensures compliance, safe operations, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. HSE Leadership & Governance:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies, systems, and procedures across all company's facilities.
  • Coordinate HSE initiatives with senior management.
  • Conduct HSE audits, mock drills, site inspections, and compliance checks.
  • Promote safety culture across plant, jetty, warehouse, buildings, offices, institutions and any new locations.

2. Compliance & Regulatory Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all chemical, port, factory, government and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain licenses, statutory records, and liaise with regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, and marine safety standards.

3. Port & Jetty HSE Oversight:

  • Supervise HSE for marine operations and ship unloading at jetty.
  • Ensure compliance with IMDG, ISGOTT, OCIMF, and hazardous cargo regulations.
  • Oversee spill control, unloading and loading monitoring, and emergency readiness.

4. Facility HSE Management:

  • Oversee process safety (HAZOP, JSA, HAZID).
  • Implement permit-to-work systems (PTW).
  • Conduct incident investigations and implement CAPA.

5. Warehouse & Logistics Safety:

  • Ensure safe storage and segregation of chemicals.
  • Monitor forklift operations, loading/unloading safety, and warehouse emergency systems.

6. Environmental Management:

  • Monitor emissions, effluents, waste, and ensure compliance with PCB norms.
  • Implement environmental improvement programs.
  • Execute various events for environment improvements at various facility.

7. Emergency Preparedness:

  • Lead emergency response planning for all facilities.
  • Conduct mock drills and maintain emergency equipment.
  • Ensure proper training and timely recruitments.

8. Training & Competency:

  • Conduct HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Develop competency matrices for high‑risk operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate in Engineering/Science; Safety diploma preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in chemical, port, or warehousing safety roles.
  • Strong understanding of marine, chemical, and logistical operations safety.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹1,800,000.00 per year
