Job Description

Set up and operate wire-cut EDM machines for tool and mould production.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD & T, and specifications to execute accurate cuts.
Determine spark gap, feed rate, and orbit patterns for optimal performance.
Select and maintain appropriate electrodes, wires, and dielectric fluids.
Monitor EDM operations for precision, surface finish, and adherence to tolerances.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines to ensure smooth operation.
Identify and report any machine malfunctions or quality deviations.
Maintain production records and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Required Skills:

Attention to detail and precision in high-tolerance machining.
Familiarity with tool room practices and safety standards.
Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance skills.

Required Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of EDM sparking techniques and parameters (spark gap, orbit pattern, pulse settings).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tooling specifications.
