Editorial Intern

Responsibilities

Lead a team of skilled journalists and writers, guiding them in delivering top-notch news

articles, reports, and features.

• Edit and proofread content to ensure it meets our quality standards, including grammar,

style, and accuracy.

• Collaborate closely with reporters, photographers, and other content creators to develop

compelling and engaging news stories.

• Manage editorial calendars and assign tasks to team members, ensuring timely delivery

of content.

• Stay updated on current events, trends, and industry developments to ensure our

coverage is relevant and timely.

• Uphold journalistic ethics and maintain a high level of objectivity and fairness in all

published content.

• Develop and maintain relationships with sources, experts, and contributors to enhance

our news network.

• Play a role in content planning, helping to identify newsworthy topics and angles for

coverage.

• Engage with audience feedback and adapt editorial strategies based on reader

preferences.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as digital media and marketing, to optimize

content distribution and engagement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, or a related field (Master's preferred).

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong understanding of journalistic principles, ethics, and standards.

• Familiarity with digital media trends and multimedia content production.

• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to meet tight deadlines.

• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of writers.

• Adaptability to fast-paced and evolving news cycles.

• A passion for accurate reporting, staying informed about global events, and contributing

to a well-informed society.
