The Database Administrator is responsible for the design and management of database technologies for key systems within Duracell. You will be responsible for the overall health of the databases, managing tools and processes to ensure reliability, availability, recoverability, and security of company databases. This is a highly technical role that requires a working knowledge of various Database technologies. You will be providing strategic direction for the database architecture and systems, including upgrades, database design, and support for application and infrastructure projects. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership to ensure successful project management throughout the development life cycle and timely delivery of enhancements. Knowledge of Oracle, MongoDB, Progress, MySQL is a plus. The tax professional will be part of the Global Tax team and should have proven expertise in Indian direct and/or indirect tax compliance. In this role, you will handle tax compliance aspects such as indirect tax (GST & Customs), direct tax, tax provision, etc. related to India and UAE. Your responsibilities will include preparing responses to tax audits and any other contacts with local authorities. You will be expected to ensure compliance with local statutory requirements in India and UAE from a tax perspective (GST, Customs, Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing, etc.), partner with other functions within the multinational organization as well as external consultants. It will be your responsibility to keep track of legislative changes, analyze them, and ensure the correct implementation of any new requirements. You may also have ad hoc involvement in Global Tax projects and initiatives, especially in relation to the Asia region.
