Job Description

Role Summary

Drone Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Drone Design & Development

Design and develop UAV platforms (fixed-wing, multirotor, hybrid VTOL).
Select and integrate motors, ESCs, propellers, batteries, flight controllers, and payloads.
Conduct system-level design for aerodynamics, power systems, and structural components.

Flight Control & Software

Configure and tune flight control systems (PX4, ArduPilot, DJI SDK, etc.).
Develop or customize autopilot algorithms, navigation systems, and mission-planning logic.
Work on embedded software (C/C++/Python) for onboard systems.

Testing & Validation

Perform flight tests, collect telemetry, analyze flight data, and tune performance.
Troubleshoot issues with stability, control, communication, or hardware.
Ensure compliance with aviation standards and safety guidelines.

Sensor & Payload Integration

Integrate and test sensors like LIDAR, GPS, IMU, cameras, thermal sensors, and mapping payloads.
Develop communication systems (RF, 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, telemetry).
Support mission-configurable payload setups for surveillance, mapping, delivery, etc.
