Full Time
1) Leads fitter crew in area;
2) Performs routine inspections, lubrication and basic repairs;
3) Checks belt condition, roller health and guards;
4) Supports shutdowns, rotor inspections and knife changes;
5) Ensures correct use and storage of tools tackles;
6) Maintains housekeeping around mechanical equipment;
7) Records job completion and parts used.
Technical Skill
1) Skilled in fitting, alignment, rigging, pulley belt work, simple welding / gascutting;
2) Able to read simple GA drawings and OEM manuals;
3) Understands typical failure symptoms of bearings, belts and chains.
Preferred Experience
1) Fitting / mechanical maintece in any heavy plant with conveyors, crushers, screens, fans or shredders;
2) welding fabrication exposure preferred.
