Job Title: Electronic Service Engineer - Summary: Responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic condition monitoring equipment and systems at customer sites or in-house, ensuring high uptime, safety, and customer satisfaction Key Responsibilities - Install, commission, and configure electronic condition monitoring equipment and systems as per company standards - Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and carry out preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns. - Conduct routine inspections, testing, and calibration of electronic components and circuits. - Maintain accurate service reports, documentation, and parts usage records. - Provide technical support and training to customers and internal teams when required. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations, ESD practices, and relevant industry standards during all service activities. - Coordinate with design/production/quality teams to escalate recurring issues and suggest improvements. ## Required Qualifications and Experience - Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Electronics & Communication or related discipline from a recognized institution. 0-2 years of hands-on experience in servicing, maintenance, or field support of electronic equipment . - Solid understanding of analog and digital electronics, circuit analysis, and test methods. - Experience using test and measurement instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator, etc.). ## Technical Skills - Strong skills in fault-finding at PCB and system level using schematics and manuals. - Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. - Familiarity with microcontroller-based systems, SMPS, sensors, and communication interfaces (RS232/RS485, CAN, Ethernet, etc.) as relevant to your products. - Basic knowledge of soldering/rework of through-hole and SMD components following ESD controls. - Understanding of safety standards and EMC/EMI considerations for electronic equipment (customize to your sector). ## Soft Skills and Behavioral Requirements - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a systematic approach to troubleshooting. - Good communication skills to explain issues and solutions to customers and non-technical stakeholders. - Customer‑oriented mindset, professional behavior at client sites, and ability to manage expectations under time pressure. - Ability to work independently in the field as well as collaboratively within cross‑functional teams. - Willingness to travel (specify percentage/regions) and work in shifts or on-call when required. ## Additional/Preferred Requirements - Relevant certifications in electronics servicing, industrial automation, or specific OEM training (if applicable) - Experience in your specific domain (e.g., medical electronics, industrial automation, telecom, consumer electronics, renewable energy, etc.). - Basic computer skills for service software, ERP/CRM, and report preparation (MS Office, ticketing tools, etc.).
