Job Description

The SAP PS Director is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and optimization of the SAP Project Systems (PS) module across the organization. This role ensures that SAP PS solutions support project management processes, integrate seamlessly with other SAP modules, and deliver value to business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the SAP PS roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
  • Drive SAP PS transformation initiatives, including S/4HANA migration and integration with cloud platforms.
  • Establish governance and best practices for SAP PS usage across global projects.
  1. Solution Design & Implementation

  • Oversee design, configuration, and deployment of SAP PS functionalities (project structures, WBS, networks, cost planning, budgeting).
  • Ensure integration with SAP FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, and other relevant modules.
  • Implement advanced reporting and analytics using SAP tools (BW/4HANA, SAC).
  1. Project & Program Management

  • Lead large-scale SAP PS implementations and global rollouts.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, security, and regulatory requirements.
  1. Process Optimization

  • Collaborate with business units to streamline project management processes.
  • Introduce automation and digital tools for project tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor KPIs for project execution and cost control.
  1. Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor SAP PS consultants and technical teams.
  • Build capability through training and certification programs.
  • Resource planning and workload management.
  1. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Engage with business stakeholders to ensure SAP PS meets operational needs.
  • Manage SAP vendor relationships and stay updated on SAP PS roadmap.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Certifications:

    SAP PS certification, PMP, Agile/SAFe preferred.
  • Experience:

    12+ years in SAP implementations with at least 7+ years in SAP PS.


Skills

  • Deep expertise in SAP PS configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and related modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in global rollouts and multi-country implementations.
  • Familiarity with SAP analytics and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to drive digital transformation in project management.
  • Willing to travel based on client requirements
