The Director - Finance and Legal will ensure that company exceeds its financial and compliance benchmarks while supporting the company's ambitious growth targets. He will navigate complex financial landscapes, manage risk, and foster a culture of transparency and accountability that translates into superior business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with business goals. Lead annual operating planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Financial Operations: Oversee cash flow, working capital management, and cost efficiency initiatives. Ensure robust financial controls and accurate MIS reporting. Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Implement policies to manage legal risk and ensure contractual compliance. Fundraising & Investor Relations: Drive fundraising efforts and manage relationships with investors and financial institutions. Prepare detailed financial presentations and reports for stakeholders. Business Performance & Risk Management: Monitor financial KPIs and develop risk mitigation strategies. Leverage data analytics to drive rapid, informed decision-making. Supplier & Partner Engagement: Foster strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure smooth financial operations. Critical Success Factors Achievement of revenue and profitability targets. Successful execution of cost control and cash flow optimisation measures. Timely and accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Effective management of fundraising initiatives and investor relations. Establishment of a robust internal control environment that mitigates financial and legal risks. Education and Experience CA, MBA in Finance, or a related qualification. Professional certifications are a plus. 8+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within fashion retail, e-commerce, or quick commerce environments. Demonstrable track record in financial planning, legal compliance, fundraising, and cost optimisation. Prior experience in high-growth startup environments with an ability to manage change and drive innovation.
