About the Role: We are looking for a Senior BigCommerce Developer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining eCommerce websites on the BigCommerce platform. You will work closely with our design, product, and marketing teams to build scalable and high-performing eCommerce solutions that drive conversions and enhance user experience. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain custom themes, integrations, and apps for BigCommerce. Implement responsive design and ensure cross-browser compatibility. Work with RESTful APIs and BigCommerce’s API for third-party integrations. Optimize site performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness. Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, and provide scalable solutions. Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers to deliver high-quality eCommerce experiences. Stay current with industry trends and platform updates, including BigCommerce Stencil framework. Lead and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of development experience with BigCommerce. Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery , and SASS/LESS . In-depth understanding of the Stencil theme framework. Solid experience integrating third-party APIs and services. Familiarity with Headless Commerce and GraphQL (preferred). Proficiency in version control tools (Git) and deployment workflows. Knowledge of SEO , accessibility standards , and page speed optimization . Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other platforms like Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce. Familiarity with React or Vue.js. Knowledge of PHP, Node.js, or backend scripting. BigCommerce certifications (a plus). Show more Show less
