Role: Dietician
Experience: 3–5+ years preferred

1. Role Overview

The Dietician is responsible for planning, monitoring, and promoting healthy nutritional practices for students and staff. The role focuses on ensuring quality, safety, and nutrition in hostel dining, canteen, and campus food services while creating awareness on wellness and dietary habits.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Nutritional Planning & Menu Management

  • Develop nutritious and balanced menu plans for hostels and canteens.
  • Ensure meals meet calorie, hygiene, and nutritional standards.
  • Modify menus for sports students, special requirements, and seasonal needs.
  • Monitor portion sizes and food quality regularly.

B. Food Safety & Hygiene Monitoring

  • Inspect hostel kitchens, dining halls, and canteens to ensure hygiene and sanitation compliance.
  • Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served under safe, hygienic conditions.
  • Recommend corrective measures for food safety issues.
  • Train kitchen and mess staff in safe food handling practices.

C. Health Assessment & Dietary Guidance

  • Counsel students with diet-related concerns (obesity, anemia, nutritional deficiencies).
  • Provide personalized diet plans when required.
  • Conduct awareness on healthy eating, hydration, and lifestyle.

D. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain records of menu plans, inspections, and nutritional interventions.
  • Report food safety concerns to the administration with action recommendations.
  • Assist during NAAC/NBA/AICTE audits with documentation on food safety and nutrition.

E. Support for College Events

  • Plan nutrition support for sports teams, NSS camps, and large college events.
  • Provide guidance during health camps and wellness programs.

3. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of nutrition science, diet planning, and food safety.
  • Ability to inspect kitchen operations and suggest improvements.
  • Good communication and counselling skills.
  • Experience with adolescent and youth nutrition preferred.

4. Qualifications

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Nutrition & Dietetics / Food Science / Clinical Nutrition.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in institutional or clinical dietetics.
  • Certifications in food safety (optional but preferred).

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
