Job Description :- Experience in Steel Making Shop Continuous Casting Machine, Thin slab Caster, Thick slab Caster, Beam Blank Caster, Billet Caster and Blooms Casting of all grades of stainless steel (S.S.) (200,300 & 400 series) on B.C.M. in 140 & 120 mm2 Section size using mono block stopper (M.B.S.) & submerged entry nozzles (SEN) Casting of all grades of S.S., M.S. & high carbon alloy steel on slab caster from 140/160 X 250 mm2 to 140/160 X 1800 mm2 section size using MBS/SEN. Coordination among both casters, all four AOD and LRF for smooth operation, better productivity and quality products. Machine maintenance (preventive and breakdown). Sequence planning of steel cast. Production of all grades of steel on Concast machine. Machine maintenance Sequence planning. Maintaining and analyzing all datas of Production and maintenance. Quality evaluation with respect to casting parameters. Materials and Manpower planning. All development activities. Experience in UHP EAF (EBT) with LRF, VD, and VOD & AOD through CCM & EMS route. I have the knowledge of production and planning, quality control and administration. Exposure training & theoretical knowledge to overall continuous casting plant component such as ladle, tundish and heights, m/c length, radius, casting o/p ratings and strand cross section, process limit (steel grade, dimension) etc. Exposure training to positioning and support facilities, oscillating table, mould oscillation and stroke length, Mould material, length and dimension, solidification phenomena, friction forces and Ferro static pressure between strand shell and mould, primary and secondary cooling system, EMS system, strand straighter, hydraulic pressure, bulging factor, spray nozzle etc. Responsible for smooth running of the whole steel melt shop by coordinating internally with EAF, LF, caster, Lime Plant, Ferro alloy store, Slag, scrap& ladle management & with external departments like blast furnace, corex, hot metal management, HBI modules , power, Material handling, Oxygen Plant, Utilities etc. Responsible for grade planning, planning of shutdown activities & materials planning. b) Core member of PSM (process safety management) team. Successfully implemented PSM within the department. Prepared various SOPs & guided others for the same. c) Part of the team in successful commissioning of in house DC EAF (150 T capacity) Overall responsibilities shift activities to achieve safety, production, quality target. Skills :- Productivity improvement by using preventive maintenance tool. -A good team leader with excellent trouble shooting and inter-personal skills. -Deft in material planning and procurement, maintaining reduced inventory levels to achieve maximum cost savings without hampering the production. - Managing the overall shop floor and assembly activities, implementing effective techniques to bring efficiency in operations and achieve maximum cost saving. - Regular interaction with Production Department to collect the feedback. Taking appropriate measures to bring down the machinery down time. - Managing and training effectively the manpower resource in the organization for safe handling of machines, ensuring higher efficiency and maximum productivity -Well versed with the concepts of T P M, 5-S activities. -Well versed with Windows, operating of SAP system. The plant incorporates the most modern steel technologies from Mannesmann Demag, & Krupp Industrie technik. In Steel Melting Shop 60ton Electric Arc furnace, Ladle Furnace, 3 stands Continuous Caster is of Mannesmann Demag, Vacuum Degassing from Danieli & AOD Plant. A Krupp ‘Codir’ Direct Reduction Plant to produce highly metallised Plant is having Demag ‘Sack’ 18 stand continuous rolling mill.
