DevOps Engineer/ Software Developer

As a DevOps Engineer/Software Developer at Vistra, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in de-risking and stabilizing the 3Cats application. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and updating the code to current standards, enhancing documentation, developing and supporting other applications and functionalities, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve results. Key Responsibilities: - Reviewing 3Cats Code developed in C# and existing Excel vba Template - Suggesting alternatives to vba macros, preferably in Python - Defining queries for generating parametrized reports and creating SQL-based report layouts in the Report Design specific interface of our Hedge Application Paxus, and possibly in SSRS - Writing simple to complex stored procedures and functions - Automating and managing control flow, data flow, events, logging, and user-defined variables for SSIS packages - Participating in code reviews to improve code quality - Collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders - Working closely with Development lead and Technology Managers to understand and clarify requirements Attributes & Skills: - Excellent knowledge in C, C++, .NET - Good knowledge of Python - Excellent knowledge of SQL/TSQL - Expertise in Visual Studio - Experience with SSIS and Reporting Services - Hands-on experience in SSRS report development - Experience in developing REST-based APIs - Knowledge of HTTP, REST, and JSON - Experience in using code repository such as GitHub - Proactive problem solver with good planning and organizing skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills; Fluent in English - Strong team player Qualification Required: - 4+ years of experience in the IT industry - Development experience with C#, JavaScript, Node.js, and any other API technologies is an advantage - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent degree or certifications,
