Development Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Development Supervisor oversees and coordinates the design, development, and improvement of railway components and systems. This role ensures that all new products and modifications meet technical standards, quality requirements, and project timelines within a railway manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide the development team in product design, prototyping, and testing of railway components.
• Coordinate with design, production, quality, and procurement departments for smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, prepare development schedules, and ensure timely completion.
• Review and validate technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and railway authority requirements.
• Implement process improvements and support innovation initiatives for cost and performance optimization.
• Conduct technical evaluations and resolve development-related issues during manufacturing or trials.
• Maintain documentation and prepare development reports for management and regulatory review.
• Train and mentor team members to enhance technical and project management skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in product development or manufacturing within the railway or heavy engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of CAD tools and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with railway standards (RDSO/ISO/EN norms preferred).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Project management and documentation skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
