As a key member of our Core Banking Base Development and Professional Services team, you will lead the development and delivery of microservices-based solutions using Scala and Akka. This role is part of our NextGen transformation initiatives and client-focused professional services projects.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Core Programming:

  • 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Scala development

  • Strong experience with the Akka Framework, including Akka Streams

  • Test-Driven Development (TDD)

• Microservices Architecture:

  • Experience designing and developing microservices

  • Familiarity with event-driven microservices architectures

  • Working knowledge of GRPC and Protocol Buffers

• DevOps & Infrastructure:

  • Hands-on with Docker containers

  • Experience working with Kubernetes

  • Familiarity with cloud-native application concepts

• Tools & Platforms:

  • Experience using Jira, Confluence

  • Basic knowledge of Ansible, Terraform

  • Good understanding of cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and their IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings

• Scripting & Automation:

  • Knowledge of Batch, Bash scripting

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving ability

  • Clear and effective communication skills

Good-to-Have Skills

• Additional Programming:

  • Hands-on experience with Python scripting

• Testing Methodologies:

  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

  • Exposure to integration and unit testing best practices

• Cloud & Infrastructure:

  • Hands-on experience deploying apps on AWS

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

• Messaging & Integration:

  • Awareness of message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
