Desktop Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Service Delivery

• Provide L2/L3 support to internal and external clients, resolving hardware, software, OS, and application-related issues.
• Should Handle service requests and incidents daily, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across desktops, laptops, thin clients, HVDs, mobile devices, printers, scanners, IP phones, and VC equipment.
• Configure and deploy operating systems, software packages, and patches using tools like SMTools, R2, and DCDI portal.
• Support MS Outlook, Lotus Notes, mobile email (iPhone, Blackberry, UEM), and end-user applications.

VIP & Trade Floor Support

• Provide dedicated support for VIP/Executive users including setup, issue resolution, and meeting room coordination.
• Assist with AV/VC setup, senior management meetings, and boardroom conferencing.
• Deliver trade floor support for financial applications such as Bloomberg, Reuters, ND OMS, CCIL, Ekuber, NSDL, CKYC, etc., coordinating with vendor teams for issue escalation.

Infrastructure, Asset & Vendor Management

• Manage and maintain IT assets across multiple locations, ensuring accurate inventory and compliance with security policies.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors for hardware failures, replacements, and escalations.
• Support patch deployment, firmware updates, OS upgrades, and overall endpoint security upkeep.
• Assist in managing HVD lifecycledeployment, assignment, decommissioning.

Project Implementation & Migration

• Participate in enterprise-level migrations including Windows 7 to 10 transformations, Lotus Notes to Google Workspace, PRI migration, and Wi-Fi/Radius implementations.
• Support new facility setups, office relocations, and PAN-India IT infrastructure rollouts.
• Lead or support datacentre activities including shutdown coordination, UPS replacement, and vendor escorting.
