Desktop Support Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to end-users regarding hardware, software, and networking issues. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly identify problems, implement solutions, and ensure smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for Windows/macOS systems. Provide support for Microsoft Office, email clients, and common business applications. Setup and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords. Handle LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi configuration and basic network troubleshooting. Maintain IT asset records and documentation. Coordinate with vendors for hardware repair or replacement. Provide remote and on-site technical support to users. Ensure timely resolution of issues via ticketing system (if applicable). Required Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking. Good understanding of desktop, laptop, and printer troubleshooting. Familiar with antivirus software and endpoint security. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks. Preferred Qualifications: Diploma / Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Certification like CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP/MCSA, or ITIL is a plus. Experience with remote support tools (e.g., AnyDesk, TeamViewer, RDP).
