Job Description

Overview A Desktop Support Engineer is an IT professional responsible for providing technical assistance to users of computer systems, software applications, and network connections. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and maintaining equipment, and ensuring the overall functionality of desktop systems. Roles and Responsibilities Provide comprehensive support for various devices including computers, laptops, networks, barcode printers, biometric systems, routers, and CCTV systems. Assign daily tasks and coordinate with new hires to ensure they receive training aligned with client requirements. Diagnose and resolve network issues across wireless LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network) settings. Offer technical help for IT problems involving network components such as switches, routers, Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), and firewalls. Ensure accessibility to fix any IT-related issues using workstations or gadgets as needed. Enter and maintain user, vendor, contract, and purchase information in our ITSM system Communicate with the team (FoC) to assist with training and ongoing support. Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents. Broad experience in IT with a basic understanding of Networks, Servers, Audio/Visual, Smart Devices, and Telecoms. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or better. Show more Show less
