Job Description

We are seeking a skilled L2 Engineer to provide advanced desktop and application support for Windows and Linux workstations in an engineering environment. The candidate will work closely with L3 engineers to resolve complex issues escalated from L1 support and assist production and design teams in maintaining a smooth engineering workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux workstations.

Ensure network connectivity and resolve related issues for desktops and workstations.

Provide L2 support for escalated tickets from L1 engineers.

Support and troubleshoot CAD/CAM applications, including but not limited to:

CATIA

ANSA

HyperMesh

Intergraph

Autodesk Products

ANSYS / Simulation Tools

Resolve application crashes, rendering issues, license errors, and performance bottlenecks.

Support embedded development tools such as JTAG programmers, ECU/MCU tools, and simulators.

Troubleshoot workstation-device communication issues and assist production teams with toolchain integration and version compatibility.

Provide L2 support for SVN repositories, including access issues, conflicts, and workspace resets.

Follow SOPs and documentation for consistent application support and problem resolution.

Collaborate with L3 engineers to resolve complex technical issues.

Required Qualifications:

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or IT.

36 years of experience in desktop support or engineering IT support.

Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux workstation installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Experience with CAD/CAM tools and engineering applications.

Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.

Familiarity with version control systems like SVN.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in CAD/CAM tools (e.g., CATIA, ANSYS, Autodesk).

Experience working with production or design engineering teams.

Skills & Competencies:

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication skills to interact with engineers and production teams.

Ability to follow SOPs and technical documentation accurately.

Team player with the ability to escalate and collaborate with L3 engineers when needed.Role & responsibilities
