Full time | Work From Office This Position is Filled Department / Category: MANAGER Listed on Dec 16, 2024 Work Location: CHANDIGARH Job Descritpion of Desktop Infrastructure Services Manager 6 to 8 Years Relevant Experience The Hands and Feet engineer plays a crucial role in supporting IT operations by handling physical tasks associated with computer systems, network equipment and data center. The position requires strong technical skills attention to detail and ability to work effectively in team environment Job Description (Key Responsibilities): Hardware Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure and maintain servers, network devices, and other hardware components Cable Management: Manage Structures of cabling system, ensure organization and adherence to standards. Rack and Stack: Physically install and organize equipment within racks in data center or server room. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues or/and connectivity problems. Equipment Deployment: Deploy new equipment according to project requirements and technical specification Documentation: Maintain accurate record of hardware inventory, configuration and changes. Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to support overall infrastructure needs. Physical Security: Implement and maintain physical security measures for equipment and data center environments. Vendor Management: Maintain database of various vendors with details like contact person, telephone nos., escalation matrix, response and resolution time commitments. Logging calls and coordination with TCS infrastructure Vendors (Product Support/OEM) for call closure and updates. Escalating calls going beyond SLA to the designated TCS IT personnel The role will require working in data center environments with exposure to Noise and varying temperatures. The role will also require being flexible to work outside of regular business hours for schedule maintenance or urgent issues. Required Skills Hands-on experience with hardware installation and maintenance Knowledge of network cabling standards and practices Basic understanding of network protocols and configurations Strong Problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good communication and teamwork skills6.
