Job Summary:

Escalon Business Services is looking for a motivated and technically skilled Desktop Support Engineer (L1) to join our IT team in Mohali. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a passion for providing high-quality support to end-users.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in person.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues promptly.
• Install and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
• Perform regular system maintenance including updates, antivirus scans, and backups.
• Ensure proper IT security practices and data integrity.
• Collaborate with L2/L3 teams for complex issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, hardware, and software inventory.
• Train and guide users on basic IT system usage.
• Follow IT security and compliance policies.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and IT support trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software.
• Familiarity with networking concepts is a plus.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, MCDST, or similar are an advantage.
• 0–3 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk (freshers welcome).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
