Job Description

L1 Desktop Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Provide
first-level support
for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and IT peripherals.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to
Windows 10/11, MS Office, and standard applications
.
Handle
user account management
tasks such as password resets and access issues via
Active Directory / O365
.
Perform basic
network troubleshooting
(LAN, IP configuration, Wi-Fi issues).
Log incidents, service requests, and updates in
ticketing tools
(ServiceNow / Jira / Remedy).
Install and configure software, drivers, and updates.
Maintain IT inventory and ensure proper documentation of hardware and activities.
Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams when required.
Provide on-site support for end users in case of hardware faults or urgent issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelors degree in
Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
.
0–3 years of experience in
desktop support / technical support
.
Good understanding of:

Windows OS (Win10/11)
MS Office & standard applications
Basic networking concepts
Hardware troubleshooting

Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in shifts if required.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Familiarity with
ITIL processes
(Incident/Request Management).
Knowledge of antivirus, VPN, and remote support tools.
Certifications like
A+

ITIL
,
MCSA
, or basic
CCNA
.
