We are Urgently Hiring for Designer (Modular Kitchens, Wardrobes & Furniture) for Surat Location Job Description Designer (Modular Kitchens, Wardrobes & Furniture) Position: Designer Modular Kitchens, Wardrobes & Furniture Location: Surat (Ghod-dod) Department: Design & Estimation Job Summary: We are looking for a Designer with expertise in modular kitchens, wardrobes, and furniture design who will be responsible for creating detailed designs, preparing quotations, and generating technical drawings . The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of materials, space planning, and design aesthetics while also being able to coordinate with clients and the sales team. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design & Space Planning: Create functional and aesthetically appealing designs for modular kitchens, wardrobes, and custom furniture based on client requirements. Use AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, or similar software to develop layouts, 3D models, and detailed technical drawings. Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with industry trends . 2. Quotation & Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates for each project. Work with the sales team to finalize pricing, considering material selection, hardware fittings, and labor costs . Maintain updated pricing lists for different modular kitchen components, wardrobe fittings, and furniture materials. 3. Client Coordination & Consultation: Conduct design discussions with clients to understand their preferences, space constraints, and functional needs . Suggest appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware (e.g., EBCO fittings, plywood, laminates, Bodaq films ). Make design revisions based on client feedback while ensuring feasibility and cost control. 4. Technical Drawings & Execution Support: Provide precise technical drawings, cut lists, and assembly details for manufacturing and installation teams. Ensure proper coordination with site supervisors, carpenters, and vendors for seamless execution. Conduct site visits when required to verify measurements and installation feasibility. 5. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain proper records of client requirements, quotations, design revisions, and approvals . Prepare weekly reports on design projects, sales conversions, and pending approvals . Key Requirements: 1. Qualifications & Experience: Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field . 2+ years of experience in modular kitchen,wardrobe, or furniture design. Strong expertise in AutoCAD,SketchUp, 3Ds Max, or relevant design software . Prior experience in quotation preparation and cost estimation is preferred. 2. Skills & Competencies: Excellent design and visualization skills . Strong understanding of modular kitchen layouts, wardrobe fittings, and furniture ergonomics . Good mathematical and analytical skills for cost estimation and quotations. Ability to work with the sales team and directly interact with clients . 3. Additional Requirements: Knowledge of hardware brands like EBCO, Hettich, Hafele, and Bodaq materials is an advantage. Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Willingness to visit sites for measurement verification and design execution .
