Job Description

Design Head: Design Manager to lead the design and engineering activities of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear and panel board manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, extensive knowledge of ABB and Schneider Electric products and solutions, and proven leadership in managing design teams to ensure project deliverables are met effectively. Position based in : Nagpur Budget:- Upto 10LPA Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the design and engineering team for LV and MV switchgear, panel boards, and related systems. • Develop and review electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. • Provide technical expertise in the selection and application of ABB and Schneider Electric components and solutions. • Collaborate with sales, project management, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution. • Oversee the preparation of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), schematics, and bill of materials (BOM) using appropriate design software. • Ensure the design process complies with international and local electrical standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, ANSI). • Conduct design feasibility studies, technical calculations, and risk assessments. • Manage project timelines, design milestones, and deliverables while maintaining quality standards. • Mentor and develop the engineering team, providing guidance and technical support. • Interface with clients, consultants, and suppliers to address technical queries and design concerns. • Support the pre-sales team with design estimations and technical proposals. Qualifications and Skills: • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. • Minimum 10 years of experience in the design of LV and MV switchgear and panel boards. • Strong knowledge of ABB and Schneider Electric products, solutions, and design standards. • Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, E-Plan, or equivalent. • Experience in managing design teams and handling multiple projects simultaneously. • Familiarity with testing and commissioning procedures of switchgear systems. • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively across departments.
