Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Design Head to lead our design and development team for aluminum cycle frames and truss structures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in sheet metal fabrication and proven experience in automotive component design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design team to develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions.

• Oversee design projects from concept to production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.

• Prepare and review 2D/3D designs, drawings, and models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and STAAD Pro.

• Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams to ensure manufacturability and feasibility of designs.

• Conduct design analysis, material selection, and optimization for weight, strength, and performance.

• Manage design documentation, revision control, and compliance with company and client standards.

• Review customer specifications and translate them into technical design requirements.

• Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and installation stages.

• Mentor junior designers and ensure continuous skill development within the team.

• Support management in cost estimation and new product development initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in design within the sheet metal or automobile fabrication industry.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and STAAD Pro.

• Strong understanding of sheet metal processes, GD&T, and fabrication techniques.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within deadlines.
