The Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the duties of the Engineering department, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement. Role & Responsibilities: Checking the product requirements (specifications) of the customer Determine Cost & Create TDS Against customer requirement Using Cable builder software According to Design standards. Upload Cost in OMP Design Validation (Designed V/s Manufactured) Creating MLBOM and maintain routing in SAP. Technical clarification to Sales team Process Improvement in Cable builder & OMP. Evaluating the possibility to select right cable, advising the customer, proposing alternatives if necessary. Other tasks - Maintaining the documents for existing products Supporting the production sites in manufacture of released products. Advising sales team to choose a right product Participating in improvement projects Ensuring the products meets all customer requirement and legal environmental requirements Qualification & Experience: BE/ B.Tech / Diploma Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering Experience 6 to 7 Years in cable designing. Should be good @ Cable Design Specifications (IS, BS & IEC etc.) Knowledge of Cable builder will be added advantage Microsoft Excel
