Job Description

Major Responsibilities: This position will include the following activities: Take ownership & execute various VAVE projects. Create the VAVE idea funnel, Idea evaluation & develop those in accordance with sound engineering knowledge & design tools. Understand the Gearing business, analyze the data and look for cost effective ideas. • Create DFMEA, Root cause Analysis and other documents related to VAVE projects. Creating VAVE documents Per CFI stages (customer focused engineering) Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Global) to execute project deliverables, PPAP approvals, pre-production support etc. • Perform Mechanical Engineering Calculations. Investigate and solve technical problems arising in design/engineering, manufacturing and quality. Prepare & execute lab testing plans. Provide inputs for Finite Element Analysis to validate the concepts and final designs. Review results and provide ideas. Execute competitor analysis, benchmarking projects. Keep up to date on industry trends, mechanical powertrain industry/technology. Follow Regal Rexnord Ethics and Safety Programs. Perform other assignments per business needs. Create Mechanical drawings & Assemblies in SolidWorks as needed. Required Education / Experience: Graduate (BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech ) in Mechanical Engineering from reputed institute with min 70% (8 CGPA) marks. 5+ Years of experience in Mechanical Engineering domain. Must have strong working knowledge and experience with industrial gear box, Couplings, Pumps and industrial components. Hands on experience with design engineering principles and practices. Acumen for design decisions and ability to give attention to details. Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications including GD&T, material standards, Industry standards AGMA, API, ANSI, ISO. etc. Good project management skills • Knowledge and experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) a plus Experience in cost reduction-VAVE projects/in industrial product design in a reputed company. Experience in a global/multinational company an added advantage. Experience in CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo/Solid Edge/AutoCAD Any of these). Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
