Deputy Team Lead

Deputy Team Leader (Domain Expert Rural Roads and Asset Management).

Role Summary:

The Deputy Team Leader (Domain Expert) will support the Team Leader in domain-specific implementation related to rural road asset management, maintenance strategies, and data-driven monitoring frameworks. He/she will ensure that technical inputs and system designs align with PMGSY guidelines, quality standards, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide domain expertise in rural road planning, maintenance, and condition monitoring.
• Define and validate data collection methodologies, pavement condition indices, and inspection parameters.
• Support design of asset inventory, lifecycle costing, and performance-based maintenance models.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that the IRRMMS platform reflects real-world field conditions.
• Ensure system outputs meet RWD and PMGSY norms for road classification, quality control, and maintenance planning.
• Support the development of dashboards, performance indicators, and data visualizations.
• Participate in stakeholder consultations, training workshops, and validation studies.
• Assist the Team Leader in preparing reports, documentation, and technical presentations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Masters in Transportation / Infrastructure Management desirable).

Experience: Minimum 810 years of experience in rural road development/maintenance with strong exposure to PMGSY systems or road asset management programs.

Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience in road condition surveys, pavement management systems, GIS mapping, and data analytics for infrastructure.
• Understanding of performance-based maintenance contracts (PBMC).
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled road maintenance or monitoring will be advantageous.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and communication skills to work with field teams and government officials.
