Job Description

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe work environment
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
  • Lead safety training sessions for employees on various safety topics
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safety awareness and compliance
  • Maintain safety documentation and records as per regulatory requirements
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure compliance
  • Manage emergency response procedures and preparedness
  • Oversee the safety performance of contractors and third-party vendors
  • Provide guidance and support to management on safety-related issues

Qualifications

Education Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Master's degree or additional certification in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred)
Experience
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the Power/Energy industry
  • Demonstrated track record in managing safety programs and initiatives
  • Experience in conducting safety audits and inspections
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
