Job Description

Experience: 3+ years in Quality Analyst or related field Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate in IT or MBA-IT Key Accountabilities and Duties: The Deputy Manager will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software testing, identifying and resolving defects, and collaborating with development teams to maintain optimal system functionality. Perform various types of testing, including: Create, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software stability and functionality. Update, modify, or delete test cases/scenarios as required. Bug Reporting and Fix Verification: Investigate and verify customer-reported issues. Report defects and conduct testing on patches to confirm fixes for identified bugs. Conduct end-to-end testing with a focus on: o Usability Prepare detailed test reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Document scenarios and test cases for new applications or change requests (CR). Perform web-based testing for applications, websites, and mobile apps to ensure seamless performance. Work closely with the development team to ensure testing activities are completed on time and meet expectations. Technical Skills and Expertise: SQL Query Expertise: Good understanding and practical experience in writing SQL queries. Web & App Testing: Proficient in testing web applications and mobile apps. Test Methodologies: Hands-on exposure to various testing methodologies and tools. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical teams. Additional Responsibilities: Analyze Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and perform knowledge transfer for handling Change Requests (CR). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address testing challenges and ensure continuous quality improvement. Domain Knowledge: Understanding of power market trading and congestion management is an added advantage. Key Competencies: 1. Collaboration & Teamwork Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business users, and project managers, to ensure seamless UAT processes and shared project success. 2. Attention to Quality and Detailed Orientation Ensuring thorough testing by meticulously examining every detail to identify and address defects, inconsistencies, or gaps in the software. 3. Analytical Thinking Applying critical thinking to analyze business requirements, test results, and defect causes to enhance testing accuracy and software functionality. 4. Time Management & Prioritization Managing testing activities efficiently by prioritizing critical tasks and meeting project deadlines without compromising quality. 5. Problem-Solving Skills Proactively identifying issues, troubleshooting root causes, and recommending practical solutions to improve system performance and functionality. 6. Coaching & Mentoring Skills Guiding less experienced testers or business users through testing processes, sharing best practices, and enhancing overall UAT knowledge within the team. 7. Adaptability Demonstrating flexibility and resilience in responding to evolving project requirements, timelines, or unexpected challenges during UAT.
