Deputy General Manager / Senior Manager - Production

The Deputy General Manager / Senior Manager Production will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production operations of the plant. This role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, compliance with safety and quality standards, and achievement of production targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical or API manufacturing, team management, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage all production activities to meet production targets, cost, and quality objectives.
• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and company policies.
• Optimize production processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor key production metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve continuous improvement.
• Manage production staff, including recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and team development.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support new product launches and process improvements.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Prepare production reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management review.
• Drive initiatives for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability in production processes.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum 1015 years of experience in chemical or API manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements for API/chemical production.
• Proven experience in process optimization, production planning, and team management.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
