The role of a Deputy/Assistant Manager in Purchase and Procurement within the infrastructure industry is important for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and services required for construction projects. Deputy/Assistant Manager for our EPC projects will oversee and manage the procurement process for all materials, equipment, and services required for our engineering, procurement, and construction projects. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods and services in alignment with project requirements and budgets. Here are the roles and responsibilities for a candidate with 5-8 years of experience in this field, with a salary range of Rs 6,00,000 to Rs 9,00,000 per annum, which is negotiable Job Location - Mumbai/Navi Mumbai Procurement experience for - Civil, electrical, mechanical or MEP material is must. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with organizational goals. Identify potential suppliers, negotiations, supply chain management, contract for supply of goods and services. 2. Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate vendor performance and identify the problems which arises. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and explore new partnerships to enhance cost-effectiveness. 3. Sourcing and Cost Negotiation: Conduct market research to identify cost-effective and high-quality suppliers. Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising on quality. 4. Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Monitor contract performance and take corrective action when necessary. 5. Procurement Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices to streamline the procurement life cycle. 6. Budget Management: Develop and manage the procurement budget in collaboration with finance and other relevant departments. Monitor and control procurement-related expenses to ensure budget compliance. 7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact infrastructure procurement processes. 8. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment. 9. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities related to infra projects 10. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that procured materials and services meet specified standards. Implement and maintain quality assurance processes within the procurement function. Qualifications and Requirements: 5-8 years of proven experience in purchase & infrastructure procurement industry Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements in the EPC sector. Proficiency in procurement software and tools. In-depth knowledge of infrastructure procurement regulations and best practices.
