Department Head - Offset Division - Printing & Packaging

Role & responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and manage the Offset Production Division with a team of supervisors, operators, and support staff.
• Define and implement production strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for quality, efficiency, and cost control.

• Technical Expertise

• Ensure

  in-depth knowledge of carton production processes

  (pharma and FMCG).
• Oversee

  board design, prepress workflows, color management, and printing processes

  .
• Manage and optimize

  machine scheduling, utilization, and changeover times

  .
• Review and approve production specifications, artwork, and proofing.

• Operational Excellence

• Monitor production KPIs (OEE, wastage, downtime, delivery timelines).
• Implement

  lean manufacturing and process optimization practices

  .
• Ensure adherence to

  quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and customer requirements

  .
• Coordinate closely with

  planning, procurement, quality, and maintenance

  teams for smooth workflow.

• Team Management

• Develop, mentor, and train production teams to upgrade technical and managerial skills.
• Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and innovation on the shop floor.
• Drive safety initiatives and ensure compliance with EHS standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience:

  15 - 20 years in the

  Printing & Packaging (Offset Carton Division)

  , preferably handling

  pharma & FMCG clients

  .

• Technical Expertise:

  Strong knowledge of

  board packaging, prepress, printing, die-cutting, lamination, and finishing processes

  .

• Leadership Skills:

  Proven track record of managing large teams and complex production environments.

• Operational Skills:

  Expertise in

  machine scheduling, production planning, process optimization, and cost control

  .

• Education:

  Degree/Diploma in Printing Technology / Packaging Technology / related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
