Position: Senior Lecturer – Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry Department: Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry Institution: Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences and Hospital Location: Hazaribag, Jharkhand Job Type: Full-time, Academic Position Job Summary: The Senior Lecturer in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry will play a vital role in teaching and mentoring undergraduate dental students. The position involves academic instruction, clinical training, student guidance, and active participation in departmental research, outreach, and development activities specific to pediatric dentistry. Key Responsibilities:Academic Duties: Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. Supervise pre-clinical and clinical training with emphasis on pediatric patient management. Design, implement, and assess student academic performance through structured evaluations. Mentor students in case discussions, seminars, journal clubs, and project work. Clinical Responsibilities: Oversee pediatric dental clinics and ensure high-quality patient care. Guide students in behavior management techniques and preventive dental procedures. Maintain detailed clinical documentation and uphold safety and ethical standards. Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration for comprehensive pediatric care. Research & Development: Initiate and participate in research projects in the field of pediatric dentistry. Encourage undergraduate student involvement in research and scientific publications. Attend and present at academic conferences, workshops, and training programs. Administrative Duties: Take part in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, and academic audits. Support the organization of dental health camps and school outreach initiatives. Maintain academic and clinical records and contribute to quality assurance processes. Qualifications: BDS and MDS in Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from a DCI-recognized institution. Minimum of 1–2 years of post-MDS teaching experience (preferred). Valid registration with the Dental Council of India (DCI). Skills & Competencies: Effective teaching and communication abilities. Clinical proficiency in pediatric dental treatments and behavior management. Passion for student mentorship and academic innovation. Dedication to institutional growth and child-centered care.
