ob Description:We are seeking a talented and proactive Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves the design of precision jigs and fixtures, SolidWorks-based 3D modeling, and automation system design for special purpose machines. The ideal candidate should also have exposure to 3D scanning, a working knowledge of CAM, and be willing to support application marketing initiatives. Key Responsibilities:Design jigs and fixtures for machining, inspection, and assembly applications with precision and manufacturability in mind. Develop and manage detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks. Create concepts and layouts for automation systems and mechanisms in special purpose machining equipment. Utilize 3D scanning technologies for reverse engineering, design validation, and modeling reference. Interface with 3D printing tools for prototype development and concept verification. Collaborate with CNC programmers and gain basic CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) knowledge to ensure design compatibility with machining processes. Assist in application marketing by creating technical content, product visuals, and design concepts to support business development. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and marketing. Document design processes, maintain BOMs, and support standardization initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Proficient in SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, drawings, and motion simulation). Hands-on experience in jig and fixture design and understanding of machining constraints. Familiar with 3D scanning tools and workflows (e.g., reverse engineering, STL processing). Basic understanding of CAM software and CNC operations. Exposure to automation system design including pneumatics, drives, and motion components.
