Title/Position : DBT Developer + Tester Job Location: Pune/Gurgaon Experience : 6+ Years Employment Type: Full Time Shift Timings: UK Timings (3 PM to 12 midnight) Responsibilities. Analysing existing inefficient/ legacy ETL codes and migrating them to efficient DBT jobs. Understanding target architecture and building / maintaining jobs around Snowflake and DBT ecosystem. Developing complex SQL queries in Snowflake as well as DBT for ETL/ELT. Troubleshooting any ETL/ELT or data related issues during development life cycle as well as production phases. Supporting and doing ETL/ELT migrations into Snowflake ecosystem. using DBT Supporting customer issues and advising team/ client around Snowflake / DBT ecosystem for best practices and solving technical challenges. Design and implement efficient data pipelines (ETLs) in order to integrate data from a variety of sources (files and DB tables) into Snowflake warehouse using DBT. Develop and execute testing strategies using DBT features in conjunction with Snowflake. Provide documentation, training, and consulting for team members. Have a strong ETL background with at least 2 ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, SAS DI Studio (or any other) in addition to DBT. Key Skills Required: Prior implementation experience of DBT is a must. Hands on experience in writing advanced SQL Queries with and without DBT jobs. Hands on with multiple DBT features such as macros, jinja, tests, sources, documentations related advanced features, etc. Well versed with DWH and ETL/ELT concepts. Must have worked on multiple end to end data warehouse implementations. Worked in Offshore / Onsite Engagements and collaborated across time zones. Should be able to work in developer and tester capacity at different stages of project. Bachelors degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required, masters degree a plus. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for ETL pipelines and data validation. Perform SQL-based data validation to ensure data integrity, consistency, and correctness. Automate data quality tests using Python and/or SQL and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. Exposure to REST APIs usage/ integration Good to Have: Knowledge and Hands on experience with AWS services Data management Experience working with data governance, data operations.
