Role Overview

Database Engineer


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain

    PostgreSQL

    schemas for scalable applications.
  • Manage and monitor databases on

    Cloud SQL

    and

    RDS

    .
  • Write, test, and optimize

    SQL queries

    and

    indexes

    .
  • Set up

    backups

    ,

    replication

    , and

    failover

    mechanisms.
  • Handle

    connection pooling

    and optimize performance under load.
  • Ensure

    data security

    ,

    encryption

    , and

    access control

    .
  • Collaborate with developers and AI teams for data architecture design.


Requirements

  • 0–4 years of experience working with

    PostgreSQL

    or

    MySQL

  • Knowledge of

    GCP Cloud SQL

    or

    AWS RDS

    database setup and management.
  • Understanding of

    schema design

    ,

    indexing

    , and

    query optimization

    .
  • Basic knowledge of

    backups

    ,

    replication

    , and

    data recovery

    .
  • Familiarity with

    Cloud Monitoring

    ,

    IAM

    , and

    data security practices

    .
  • Scripting experience in

    Python

    or

    Node.js

    is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Nice to Have

  • Exposure to
