Work Location: Kochi/Trivandrum/Bangalore/Remote

Skills Mandatory

• Experience working with relational databases - PostgreSQL in AWS Aurora
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database design principles
• Experience using Liquibase (or similar tools) for database schema versioning and migrations
• Strong knowledge of AWS RDS and S3
• Familiarity with GitLab version control and CI/CD workflows
• Hands-on experience with query performance tuning and index design
• Proficiency in DBeaver or DBVisualizer for database management.
• Experience creating triggers, stored procedures, and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Function as a database engineer for major product platform implementation
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, the ability to see the root of the problem and come up with efficient, creative, and cost-effective solutions
• Strong Experience working with relational databases - PostgreSQL in AWS Aurora
• Participate in customer calls, the requirement gathering exercises, sprint planning / grooming sessions, sprint review etc. as needed.
• Hands-on experience with query performance tuning and index design
• Proficiency in DBeaver or DBVisualizer for database management
• Work in close liaison with customer and development teams for co-ordination and communications related to the database related development activities.
• Ensure that the stories are verified for accuracy of acceptance criteria and is tested as per the sprint plan to enable early validation and prevent defect leakage to production.
• Monitor the project from process and quality standpoint and alert the project manager about the deviations/risks at the earliest.
• Track the quality metrics and initiate proactive interventions with customer and development teams to improve the metrics.
• Should have good working knowledge of agile processes and DevOps processes
• Work experience in financial domain (specifically payments-based systems) will be an added advantage.
