Database Architect

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and implement PostgreSQL database architectures for high-performance and scalability. 2. Ensure data modeling, database design, and database security best practices. 3. Develop and maintain complex databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines. 4. Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement backup and recovery strategies. 5. Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases with applications. 6. Stay up-to-date with PostgreSQL features, tools, and best practices. Required Skills: 1. PostgreSQL expertise (design, development, administration) 2. Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and normalization 3. Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting 4. Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery strategies 5. Familiarity with SQL, PL/pgSQL, and database design tools 6. Experience with data warehousing, ETL, and data integration 7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Nice to Have: 1. Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL services (e.g., AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL) 2. Knowledge of other databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) 3. Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
