Database Administrator

Role Overview: As a Database Administrator (MSSQL), your main responsibility will be to oversee the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server databases. It will be crucial for you to ensure the availability, performance, security, and scalability of these databases in a production environment. Your experience in managing MSSQL databases, troubleshooting performance issues, performing regular backups, and implementing disaster recovery plans will be essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Database Installation & Configuration: You will be tasked with installing, configuring, and upgrading Microsoft SQL Server instances and databases across various environments such as development, staging, and production. - Performance Monitoring & Tuning: Monitoring the performance of databases, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to optimize query performance and enhance overall database efficiency will be part of your routine tasks. - Backup & Recovery: Your role will involve designing and implementing database backup strategies, conducting regular backups, and ensuring data recovery processes are in place for potential disaster recovery scenarios. - Security Management: Implementing and managing database security policies, including user roles and permissions, encryption, and auditing, will be crucial to ensure data protection. - Troubleshooting & Support: You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving database-related issues such as performance, connectivity, and security, and providing timely support to end-users and development teams. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role. - Education: BE/B.TECH/MCA.
