Job Description

As a Database Administrator, you will administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. Roles & Responsibilities: - Hands on experience or certification in Oracle Database Cloud Services skills is mandatory. -Experience in Oracle Database 11g/12c/18c/19c/21c and Grid Infrastructure -Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views -Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner -Define a reliable backup strategy and configure database backups for error free executions followed by periodic restorations -Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses -Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users -Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards -Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required -Build Disaster Recovery environment for database, drive and support DR drills -Support and collaborate with product developers and support them in writing high performing / optimized PLSQL codes Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA) - 7+ years of experience in administering databases, RAC and database systems -Lead prototyping architecture and implementation -Configuration and managing life cycle management of Oracle Databases in cloud includes DBaaS , ExaCC , ExaCS and Autonomous Databases -OCI Certified Architect professional and/or one Oracle Database Specialty level certification -Strong automation/infrastructure background with exposure to the majority of services in OCI -Strong understanding of OCI architectures across containerization microservices and serverless in OCI Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA). - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
