Technical Skills: Database administration experience on production servers Postgres AWS-RDS Monitoring and identification of performance issues. Knowledge of Partitioning, Replication of DB Automation Primary/Secondary DB knowledge and syncup setup. SQL Query writing Preferred Skills: MS-SQL knowledge ORACLE knowledge Roles & Responsibilities: As DBA person will be part of DBA team in IT department of client ensuring monitoring and maintenance of databases mainly Postgres & AWS-RDS on non-production and production environment. Databases are hosted in AWS cloud. Identify performance tuning opportunities with possible solutions. Ensure high availability of database Perform partitioning as required. Automation/scripting for database monitoring and maintenance. Replication of DB as required. Good communication and collaboration with engineering team to resolve DB issues. Location and Work Mode: Location: Gurugram Shift can vary from regular to 2nd providing good overlap time with US. Minimum two days per week working from office is mandatory.
