Role : Data Migration Specialist (SQL/Oracle/Postgres) Job Title : Data Migration Specialist - SQL/Oracle/Postgres Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Migration Specialist with expertise in Oracle, MSSQL, and Postgres development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database migration projects, particularly focusing on converting Oracle/MSSQL code to Postgres and leveraging AWS services for seamless data migration. Key Responsibilities : - Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL scripts, procedures, functions, and packages. - Write PgPL/SQL scripts, procedures, and functions for Postgres development. - Convert complex Oracle/MSSQL code to Postgres, ensuring accuracy and performance. - Utilize AWS services such as DMS, SCT, RDS, and Aurora to support data migration activities. - Lead and execute database migration projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime. - Analyze, design, and implement efficient database solutions to meet business requirements. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful data migration and integration. - Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the migration process. Qualifications : Technical Skills : Strong coding experience : - Oracle Development : Writing SQL, PL/SQL, procedures, packages, and functions. - MSSQL Development : Writing T-SQL and stored procedures. - Postgres Development : Writing SQL, PgPL/SQL, procedures, and functions. - Proven expertise in Oracle/MSSQL to Postgres code conversion. Experience with AWS services : - DMS (Database Migration Service) - SCT (Schema Conversion Tool) - RDS and Aurora Experience : - Hands-on experience with large-scale database migration projects. - Familiarity with database performance tuning and troubleshooting. Additional Skills : - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment. - Experience with cloud database platforms and modern database architectures is a plus.
