Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at our company, your role will involve a dual focus on infrastructure maintenance and ensuring seamless onboarding of data views. You will play a critical part in maintaining stable data platform operations and facilitating efficient data integration, especially amidst complex upstream changes and fiscal year transitions. Key Responsibilities: - Perform infrastructure maintenance tasks such as Azure subscription management, Azure Infrastructure and Platform Operations, ETL pipeline monitoring, source path validation and updates, as well as proactive issue identification and resolution. - Manage data onboarding activities by integrating new data sources and views, making adjustments for FY rollover, and keeping pace with evolving upstream systems. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of platform readiness with business requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical field. - Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, SQL). - Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of database systems, data modeling techniques, and advanced SQL proficiency. Experience with NoSQL databases is considered a plus. - ETL Tools & Concepts: Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and experience with relevant tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, Databricks, Azure Data Factory).
