Your Impact
You will support, deliver and implement Spendscape solutions together with our strong delivery teams and in close collaboration with our clients.In this role, your typical tasks involve project scoping, data identification and extraction, data processing, engineering and enrichment, and data cleansing and categorization. You will focus on the automatization of reoccurring tasks, the support and debugging of the data processing, engineering and enrichment phase. Leveraging proprietary and third-party ETL and data-transformation tools or scripts (e.g. Snaplogic, SQL, Python, Snowflake), you will merge various internal and external data tables and sources.Your tasks also include the continuous development and improvement of our proprietary data extractor and ETL tools. You will gather client input, identify their needs, and work closely with our Software Development and Data Science teams to create scalable solutions that can be brought to 100s of clients per year.When supporting client’s questions or requests you will build a deep understanding of the data model and the Spendscape solution. Together with consulting teams, client success managers and clients you will understand client requirements and discuss how to best implement the database for new or customized analytics. You will answer client inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and implement sustainable solutions.
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, information systems or related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional work experience in a data engineering function with an analytics firm
- Strong coding knowledge in SQL or T-SQL
- Understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts; experience in building operational ETL data pipelines across multiple sources, and constructing relational and multi-dimensional data models
- Strong drive for automatization and optimization and experience in data processing diagnostics
- Solid problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
- Strong abilities in the field of large data handling through one or multiple of the following: Microsoft SQL (T-SQL), Microsoft SQL Server, Management Studio, Python, version control with Git, cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake
- Abilities in the field of large data handling through one or multiple of the following are a plus: Snaplogic, Talend, Alteryx etc.
- Experience in the field of procurement and/ or business intelligence is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
