Data Engineer

In this role as a Data Engineer - Senior Associate at PwC, you will be responsible for leading the development, optimization, and maintenance of complex data pipelines, applying advanced SQL and Python for designing efficient data processing systems, and ensuring data quality, accuracy, and security throughout all stages of data processing. You will work extensively with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to design and deploy scalable data solutions, and collaborate with data scientists on machine learning and AI initiatives. Additionally, you will provide clean data to business stakeholders for visualization and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of complex data pipelines for large-scale data integration and transformation. - Utilize advanced SQL and Python to design and optimize data processing systems and workflows. - Develop and implement efficient and scalable database structures using strong data modeling skills. - Work with cloud platforms to design and deploy scalable data solutions, automate and optimize cloud infrastructure, and ensure data quality, accuracy, and security. - Support data scientists and machine learning engineers by preparing data for machine learning and AI models, and identify opportunities for predictive analytics and automation. - Provide clean, structured data to business stakeholders for visualization with tools like Power BI, Tableau, and QuickSight. - Mentor junior data engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot and resolve issues in data infrastructure and pipelines. Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in Python and SQL. - Proficiency in data modeling, cloud platforms, machine learning, and data visualization tools. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related fields. - Demonstrated experience in building and optimizing data pipelines in cloud environments. - Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
