Role Overview

The role involves supporting the remediation, data maintenance, and automation activities within the reference data management function. The position requires hands-on experience in issue management, data quality control, process automation, and stakeholder coordination. The candidate will work closely with global teams to strengthen data governance, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with internal standards and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Remediate & Support

• Manage data and system-related issues by tracking, analyzing, and remediating root causes.
• Monitor exceptions and ensure timely closure in line with agreed SLAs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional and IT teams for effective issue resolution.
• Execute fixes and validate results to ensure process stability and control.

2. Data Maintenance

• Perform ad-hoc data ingestions and intermediate data loads.
• Execute data maintenance and reporting requests within agreed timelines.
• Oversee SLA adherence and ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Maintain documentation for execution and operational procedures.

3. Build & Automate

• Identify and analyze automation opportunities to streamline manual processes.
• Design and build control checks within data pipelines.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to implement scalable data automation solutions.

Skills & Competencies

Domain Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of reference data management (instruments, clients, entities, etc.).
• Experience in exception management, data controls, and governance frameworks.

Data Analysis:

• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and troubleshooting across database tools.

Support & Coordination:

• Experience in business coordination, SLA management, and process documentation.
• Ability to liaise effectively with global stakeholders for issue resolution and process improvements.

Tools & Technology:

• Hands-on experience with Databricks, DataIKU, Starburst, GCP, and BigQuery.
• Understanding of data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and data architecture concepts.

Automation:

• Ability to identify automation opportunities using multiple technologies.
• Experience in implementing process, task, or control automation solutions.

Preferred Experience:

• 4 - 10 years of experience in Data Management, Reference Data, or Data Governance.
• Strong knowledge of financial domain and data operations.
• Exposure to remediation, automation, or control implementation projects.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
