Position Summary Position Summary and Location Assist with building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data flows efficiently across systems. You will work closely with senior data engineers and data analysts to support data integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and overall data infrastructure. Duties And Responsibilities Assist in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to move data from various sources to the data warehouse or data lake. Help integrate data from various internal and external sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files, into centralized systems. Assist in data migration projects by writing scripts to move data between systems while ensuring data quality and integrity. Collaborate with the data quality team to ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and reliable. Implement basic data validation rules and participate in data quality checks to identify and fix data anomalies or errors. Assist in the management of databases, including tasks such as creating tables, writing SQL queries, and optimizing database performance. Support efforts to ensure efficient data storage, indexing, and retrieval for analytics and reporting purposes. Work closely with data analysts, business intelligence teams, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and support their data needs. Provide data extracts, reports, and documentation as requested by business users and analysts. Assist in creating technical documentation for data models, pipelines, and integration processes. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has/does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. Reporting Relationship Sr. Manager, Data Estate – Business Intelligence Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Relevant coursework or projects involving data management, databases, or data engineering is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database management systems (SQL and NoSQL). Familiarity with SQL for querying databases and manipulating data. Some experience with scripting languages like Python, Java, or Scala for data processing tasks. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is a plus. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or data tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) is an advantage but not required. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot data-related issues. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality. Preferred Qualifications Internship or hands-on project experience in data engineering or a related field is a plus. Experience working with data integration tools, cloud platforms, or big data technologies will be an added advantage. Familiarity with version control tools such as Git is beneficial.
